European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
PostNL, just opened a new parcel sorting centre in Almere which will employ around 400 people. This centre will be the 23rd centre in the Netherlands and is one of the three that is going to be opened this year, including one in Tilburg opened in May 2019. PostNL is continuing its rapid expansion due to the growth of online shopping. It will deliver parcels in Almere, 't Gooi and Lelystad. The centre does not use gas and works largely on solar panels. PostNL is also starting to use electric delivery vans at the centre in Almere where a smart charging infrastructure is in place.
