Xeos, a joint venture created by Lufthansa and General Electric, has announced that it will create 300 new jobs in its factory in Środa Śląska (Legnica Special Economic Zone), Poland. Currently, the company employs about 300 people at the site. The recruitment process continues, and Xeos provides special training for new employees as the company needs highly qualified workers. The company has also announced that the second stage of the investment has been initiated.
The plant deals with servicing and maintenance of GE’s engines and it will specialise in servicing GEnc28 used in Boeings 747-8 and as of 2021 the plant will also deal with GE9X engines used in Boeing 777X.
