European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
British broadcasting company Sky is set to raise its workforce in Portugal from the current 200 employees to 400 people by 2021. The current offices in Lisbon support the content infrastructure, including licensing of content, searching of new TV series and programmes and development of new payment tools used by clients on a daily basis. The site is also responsible for the creation of a streaming platform for NBCUniversal, owned by Comcast which has recently took control over Sky. This business expansion will allow the company to increase the number of female workers from the current 10% up to 30% of its workforce.
