The international furniture retailer IKEA, with headquarters in the Netherlands, opened a new logistic centre in Vienna creating 150 new jobs. The company said that 87 people have already been recruited. In September, training of new employees will begin. During October warehouse stock will be filled so the logistic centre is fully operational by November this year. Apart from delivering furniture that has been ordered online, it will also be possible to collect pre-ordered goods at the centre. So far, IKEA invested €70 million in the site.
