European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Personal care products manufacturer Royal Sanders announced the relocation of all operations in Bradford to Preston. While employees are being offered the opportunity to relocate to the Preston site, it is expected that few will do so. As a result, a large number of 165 employees from the Bradford site are considered to be made redundant. The statutory 45-day consultation period has already concluded with the decision that the Bradford site could not be competitive any longer. The second stage of consultation is planned to start with affected individuals. The Bradford site is expected to close in a period of six months.
The company operates establishments as well in Belgium and the Netherlands.
