Description
Engel, the Austria-based manufacturer of plastics injection moulding machines, has announced 100 job cuts out of the 1,000 staff at its Kaplice site. All 67 agency workers will lose their jobs. The dismissals have already begun. The reason is the continuing recession in the automotive industry and the drop in orders. The company does not offer help with finding a new job.
Globally, Engel operates nine production plants in Europe, North America and Asia and employs nearly 7,000 people worldwide. The Group's turnover in the financial year 2018/2019 was EUR 1.6 billion. The Group has sales offices in more than 85 countries
