The telecommunication company Wind Tre informed the trade unions of its intention to proceed to 1,500 redundancies over the next three years. According to the announcement, the company intends to manage the redundancies through voluntary exits and retraining initiatives, and to negotiate the plan with the trade unions.
According to the company, the potential redundancies are due to a number of reasons, including the completion of the merger between Wind and Tre and the obsolescence of various professional figures.
The trade unions expressed satisfaction about the company's behaviour and argued that there are the conditions to monitor and manage the situation of Wind Tre without unilateral and disrupting acts.
